Pre-vacuuming

Do you know the importance of pre vacuuming and edging your carpets  before cleaning?

With so many allergens in the air today, that alone makes it extremely important. Those allergens eventually settle into your carpets where your children play and can exacerbate any allergies they may have. A lot of steam cleaning companies carry vacuums in their truck but rarely use them. At Accent Carpet & Upholstery Cleaners we understand the need for pre vacuuming and would never consider cleaning your carpets without removing as much of the contaminants as possible first. We use commercial vacuums that filter out those contaminants down to .3 microns ( or the equivalent of one / one thousandths the diameter of a single human hair ) thus eliminating the possibility of pollen spores or dust mite feces (as examples ) to re enter the air. Just as importantly we clean all the outer edges of your carpets, baseboards and closets to ensure the same. Vacuuming yourself on a regular basis can also save you thousands of dollars over time in replacements of carpets.

Think about this, glass is made from sand and as we all know glass can be very sharp. When we drag sand in from the outside ( and you know what I'm talking about New Englanders! ) it ends up at the bottom of our carpets where over time acts like little razors cutting away at the fibers from the base leaving those nasty traffic patterns we all see. By removing it on a regular basis ( 2-3 times a week avg. vacuuming ) you will significantly reduce the wear thus give you more life out of your carpets. Now you can replace your carpets when you want to and not because you have to!
