Upholstery Cleaning
There is nothing more embarrassing than having company over and having them sit on furniture that has seen it’s better days due to kids and pets using it as a napkin (or worse yet a tissue) and even a trash can. We can’t help the part where they use it as a jungle-gym or a trampoline but we can help with the rest and here is how we accomplish this.

Four Steps to Great Looking Furniture
1. Accent Carpet & Upholstery Cleaners will first assess the temporary damage caused by everyday use as mentioned above and provide you with a plan to reverse it if possible. We will test a small area in an inconspicuous spot and advise you on what to expect for final results as not all spots are removable, and also let you know what type of solution is required to clean them properly. Please note that not all materials react the same way to cleaning solutions and may not be cleanable to your satisfaction. Not to worry! If we know that we cannot get the results you are looking for, we will let you know prior to any cleaning and leave the decision up to you, and as always, there is never a charge if you decide not to go ahead with our service!
2. YES, believe it or not we will vacuum it off first to remove loose debris and pet hairs. This is an especially important step if you have pets, and we all know how difficult it can be to remove those pesky hairs (especially those short bristly ones).
3. Next, we will use either our hot water extraction unit or our solvent based cleaning system to remove the embedded dirt and spots, followed up by a dry vacuuming with the same system (minus the solution) to remove excess moisture, ensuring a faster dry time.
4. The process is now complete, you are happy with the results and you threaten the kids with severe punishment if they even so much as look at the furniture again ( oh yeah, and the dogs and cats are permanently crated….it only lasts an hour because you can’t take the meowing and barking anymore)!
Upholstery Cleaning Codes
All new upholstery comes with a tag identifying the process to be used by your cleaning company. If you would like to know in advance what to expect from us, see our list of codes. Note: This is not the floppy tags you sometimes see which identifies the material fillers that you can’t see or even care about. This tag is rectangular in shape and is glued to the base of the upholstery under the cushions. A lot of times the tag either wears off or gets inadvertently vacuumed up. If this is the case, don’t panic, we are cleaning professional and will know what to do! Just take a picture of the upholstery and send it to us.
All tags in addition to cleaning instructions have a single or combination, color coded letter(s):
S: Solvent clean only • W: Wet clean only • S-W: Combination of solvent and wet clean • X: Do Not Clean! Brush or vacuum only!
