Pet Odor and Spot Removal

A lot of people think the best way to treat pet odors and spots is to use baking soda to absorb them.

What you may not know is baking soda on a wet spot(s) will dry and bind to the carpet thus making it extremely difficult for even a professional like us to remove it. Not only can this damage your carpet but it will not completely remove the odor since the spot migrates into the padding and sub flooring where the baking soda can't reach.

The best solution before calling us is to put an old towel on top of the spot(s) and blot (DO NOT SCRUB) up as much of the soiling as possible. Don't be afraid to use multiple towels if necessary. Let the spot completely dry. Now you can put baking soda on the spot(s) which will temporarily minimize the odor till we arrive to extract the remainder.

The reason for using a professional like us to remove the spot(s) is simple. The pheromones found in pet urine acts as an attractant for your pet(s). They will constantly come back to and re-mark the same spot(s) as the pheromones weaken, but the urine still gives off an ammonia smell and the odor gets stronger as they re-mark the spot(s). And you just thought your pet was "pissed" off at you for some reason. (Pun intended!).

Our non toxic solutions will completely remove the pheromones and urine odor, however we can not guarantee 100% of the discoloration will be removed. Anybody who says they can is not being honest with you. The level of discoloration removal depends on several factors. These include how long the spot(s) sat there, the amount of UV exposure and more importantly the food you feed your pet. Most pet foods contain dyes to make it look more appetizing to the pet owner and become permanent stains. Yes the owner. Your pet(s) will eat just about anything put in front of them.
