5 Things to Ask Before Hiring a Carpet Cleaner

Much like any other home repair or maintenance company these questions are very important to ask. They may not be the only ones you will want to ask based on your needs and are not necessarily in order of importance but we feel this is a good place to start. They should give you a good understanding of the company and it's ethics or lack thereof.

1. Are they Insured? An absolute must for your protection. and even if so how many claims have been issued against them over the course of business operation? Even if they don't have insurance claims against them they may have settled out of court or insurance company arbitration but is easy enough to find out. Ask for Certificates of Insurance or call your Better Business Bureau.

2. References?  These are very important but with todays technology can be easily manipulated via the internet and even bought off with the promise of a discount for a good referral from a customer. Don't be afraid to ask the company to give you a few phone numbers of their satisfied customers and make sure it goes back a few years as new customers may have buyers remorse and change their mind. A truly happy customer will always be a happy customer!

3. Subcontractors?  If a company uses subcontractors or is Franchised the best interest is not seen as the customer but rather the bottom line $$. This is a hit or miss situation as a customer may have a good experience or a bad one. A secondary party may do the work with satisfaction but there is no guarantee that next time you will get the same technician. In a lot of these cases they have moved on and have been replaced by a college student with no expertise or a person just looking to fill a void till they get a "real" job. They have no vested interest in the customer!

4. Upsells?  Watch out for companies that offer you a discounted price but don't give you the details. Most people don't read the fine print but the advertisements usually go like this." $99.00 Special 2 rooms carpet cleaning", but the print reads (if you have a magnifying glass and a good lawyer) "Max room size 120 sq. ft." That is not fair to the consumer since the average size living room or master bed room is 150 sq. ft. each! Now what will you pay? You will find out when they get there! Surprise!!!

5. Environmentally Safe Solutions?  With today's environmental issues it is important that we all stay as earth friendly as possible! We know we can't do this with 100% certainty but the closer we come the better! Ask for M.S.D.S. (or Manufacturer Safety Data Sheets) which are required by law upon request and let us know how safe they are!

Do your homework, scrutinize us and you will be completely satisfied with what you find! If you are not than ... Can I give you $20.00 to write us a good review??? LOL!!!. . Don't do that .... No Really .... Don't!!

But seriously, we are insured, no complaints, plenty of referrals, no subcontractors, and no extra charges for any work! Ask us for our M.S.D.S. at time of service and we will " Gladly Comply"!
